$35 Haircut

Last week I took Brayden to get his haircut at Kool Cuts for Kids, which if anybody has been, Kool Cuts is a cool shop but pricey. We went right after school and he was dirty...I mean dirty. Sweat and dirt mixed on his face to make mud streaks. Dirt all in his hair and shoes. All I thought was geez...

We went into the salon, which by the way what do you call a kids haircut store?-Comment back...

The stylist sat him in the red car and started on his haircut. She looked at me and said, do you still use baby shampoo on his head? I told her "yes." She said, "the reason why I ask is because your child has a dry scalp and it is beginning to flake." She then proceeded to say, "can I do a moisturizing treatment on his head?" Now, let me set the stage for you. I had a nosey mom standing near this conversation and I was already embarrassed because my 3-year old has flakes, so I said, "sure let's do what we need to do." While she is doing this treatment and then washing his hair afterwards, the stylist tells me Brayden is ready for "kid" shampoo.

I just would like to say, our child does not have flakes because he got the moisturizing treatment and we bought "salon, kid-friendly" shampoo.

Karri, I needed a laugh today. You are such a great Mom to make sure he still has the right shampoo...my poor kids get what we have in the shower...normally something Stephen would use!! But hey isn't Costly Cuts cool!! E

Hey Karri,
I got a kick out of Brayden's haircut. Sorry he had "flakes"--snicker, snicker.
