Painted Toenails

As many of you know, 24 and American Idol are shows that family and friends do not interrupt while they are on-send a text. Unfortunately last night our curious Brayden found Mommy's basket that contains fingernail polishes, fingernail polish remover, sequences, and watercolor brushes. He adorned his body, feet and hands, with 4 different types of polish and proceeded to walk down the hall on our brand new carpet with wet fingernail polish.
As refined parents (LOL) we immediately arose from the club chair that we both were sharing and tried to grab a hold of the situation at hand. The dramatics of the night are not important and the stains are gone (as good as they can be)...The saddest thing is to correct a child when they were having fun, it pained us to put him in bed an hour early and to hear the cries of a 3 year old calling for his Nana and Papa Norris. This was punishment for all.
Brayden excites me that he is curious...this tells me he has the desire to learn and to know what the meaning of truth. Brayden will make more "inappropriate choices"--these were the key words last night, it is tunneling this energy that he so, so, so gets from his mom to make the appropriate choice.
Many more curious adventures in our home awaits for Russ and I.

That is hilarious! I love the story that goes along. I can just imagine the play by play and I love it!
